Google has entered the ring alongside Microsoft, Amazon, and Oracle to bid for Department of Defense's Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability contract. You may remember back in 2018 when Google employees protested Project Maven, a Google DoD AI project that among other things sought to increase the accuracy of drone strikes. Google did not renew that contract but now they are back in earnest. Good. China and Russia seek to destroy us and the rules based global order that has lead to the most progress in the history of humanity. We need our best companies and smartest minds on this.
